Last time the information on Debbie kept changing depending on which doctor had been in to see her. She had several then and there are several this time too. So while one of them might be willing to send her home, another one might say no. Clear as mud? Anyway, left a message on Holly's phone. With the time difference, I am through calling that direction for the night. Joanieu and I will start again in the morning with the calls sometime after 9:30 or so Texas time. By then, they should be moving (or already have moved) her into a private room. At that point, calls can be made right to her room. The good news is that even though she is in a LOT of pain, there were no other problems with the procedure. So unless Holly calls back tonight (which is not likely) there will not be any more news until tomorrow. |

She's a case that they are documenting the use of the bionic titanium.........I doubt they would chance her going home so soon, plus her pain. If they do I will have to re-think hospitals....again..... Never heard anyone going from ICU to home! Amen that she is doing so well. No, they mean discharged home. If she's out of ICU, she was only there for the immediate post-op period to make sure she woke up ok. Since she did well, and since this wasn't a brain surgery, it was more an orthopedic surgery, she really will be better off at home. Trust the docs. They certainly aren't going to do anything to jeopardize her. |

But she is sitting up and moving around. |

You are right that the doctors will be careful and we already know they are knowledgeable. We will see. Sure is a different ball game than last time. I'm just happy that she is doing so well. gaigai wrote: BeeNana wrote: I think 'letting her out' means from ICU. LOL, the swelling in the morning would have happened regardless of where she was! It had nothing to do with being home or in the hospital. |

You know what I mean. I'm not sure what tubes she has in this time. Even though the drains were out. [quote=gaigai] BeeNana wrote: I was thinking that with the last surgery she had drains in and when she went home so fast she had a lot of swelling in the mornings.
