Thank you PAB58. I have her and hubby playing cards while I do some things. They sound like they are having fun. Thank you for your post. We are not as hot but overcast a little. Think we might get some rain....no...not forecasted. SO sad.
When my mom goes home sunday, my two granddaughters want to come back with me for the week, They want to learn to cross stitch without using marked fabrics. Read instructions. This is going to be fun. I have plenty to share with them. GS wants the house to himself while they are gone. Hailey belongs to SIL from Amarillo and visits in the summer and Katie is my dd's. So we will be partying. Easy age to deal with. And we have fun. We have to make our Starbucks and sonic runs. Well, back to mom now. Joining them to play cards. Maybe I can get her to work on a quilt with me. She taught me how to sew. HUGS♥♥ I know they will keep those kitties occupied. Maybe Hailey can take one home. Whoppee.

What fun!!!!! I haven't done counted cross-stitch in years!! I used to love it because just like hand-quilting and hand applique it is so calming. I just feel a sense of peace flood over me. I know, I know that sounds so sappy, but it's true!! Be sure to take some pics of your sweet GDs during their visit so we can take a peek at how much fun you're all having!!
Sure wish I could somehow send you some rain, but right now we're pretty hot and dry, too. Glad to hear that your garden is hanging on. It would be so sad for Tony's garden along the patio to dry up. It's such a pretty place to rest and enjoy the outdoors -- when it's not so blazing hot!!
Sorry I missed the party last night at NP3s! Sounds like you all had a great time. My DH2B and I went to an old restored theatre nearby -- use to be in our city of Redford, but Detroit took over that area so it's now considered to be in Detroit. We still lay claim to it, because it was originally part of the township of Redford. If you get a chance sometime, you might want to check out my update about our evening. Such a magical place to watch a movie.
Take care and continue to enjoy your momma's company!!

I think I can smell shrimp and see the color salmon.
What a nice meal...........we could have had it last night!
And how many more card games and what was the movie of the afternoon. Maybe Mom and the gang had a nice nap.
You must be getting excited about your 'kids' coming soon.

It was good scallops and salmon with scalloped potatoes and corn and garlic bisquits like at red lobster.
I am about played out for the day so have mom watching tv and hubby is doing something at the table. It's been a fun day.
I am excited it not all 4 girls and my GS. LOL. Just two I can handle. Mason will come when they go home.

Even Annabelle and Bella had some salmon.

Sure and you don't save any for Ksea and Moi.
Sound yummy.
You had a busy day yesterday and travel tomorrow.
Get some good rest and your Mom has had a couple of good days with you.
What are the ages of the 'kids' you are bringing home tomorrow?
debbieumphress
Katharine is 12 and Hailey is 14 I think. The age for liking manicures and starbucks. We should be able to keep them busy. They can be left to do things on their own and I can be on here too. Going to catch up on some pda's.

I would not have fought anyone for the scallops and salmon (I don't really like fish, but I would have came just for the company and the home cooked meal that wasn't cooked in my home or by me)but the scalloped potatoes, corn and gralic bisquits--get out of my way!!
Debbie it is so nice that you have gotten to spend this time with your mom and that the kids are going back to stay with you for the week. Pedicures sound like such a relaxing way to spend an afternoon and with a starbucks in your hand, man that sounds like just this side of heaven.

You are so welcome, can't wait to see what you both choose for fabrics.
My little one (1 year old) is ready for bed and wants to be rocked so I am going to get off and you all have a good night and I will check in on you all on Wednesday when I get back form camping. Take care of you and yours

Hi Debbie and Everyone
Wow, what a busy day, I worked in house today, sure glad we have air conditioning, been organizing the extra bedroom again again again
it is fun to re organize and hopefully I can keep it that way.
Hubby and I went to town tonight and ate supper out and got a few groceries. Sophie our dog went with us, she loves to take a car ride. So I did our grocery shopping while hubby stayed in car with Sophie with the air conditioning on. Sophie sees me putting on my shoes and she knows we are going bye bye.
