Hi Debbie! I'm just now getting caught up on the QB. I was so glad to read that you finally got your staples removed!! You head must be feeling so-o-o-o-o much better. I was thinking about your blood pressure being high sometimes -- especially lately. Mine spiked a couple of years ago when I was dealing with my extreme back pain and sciatica. I was put on meds, but my doctor kept thinking that the drastic increase was being triggered by my pain. It was really scary for a while. It finally came back down close to my regular level -- used to be a bit below 120/80 (now it's always right around 120/80). I've gotten used to the pain, and it also hasn't been as excruciating as it was for the first year or so. I really think she was correct in thinking that the pain was the cause of my blood pressure to significantly increase.
It sounds like you are having a wonderful time with your GDs. I loved the pictures of them. They must be drooling over those precious little kitty babies!
Take care and enjoy your GDs visit. Keep posting pics of your time together.

The pic of you and your mom is great, I'm glad that you got your staples out, I'm sure it does feel lots better. I am so sorry that I have missed your last two sales. Maybe the next one!! The kittens are so cute and you can definetly see that they are growing, I bet they have their eyes open in the next few days. I am looking forward to getting back to my blooming butterfly blocks in the next couple of days, I would like to have the blocks done and start putting them together by early next week.

[quote=bjnicholson]Hi Debbie. I just got on (3 hrs ago. it took me that long to catch up!) I was snickering when you talked about playing cards with your mom. My dear sainted MIL used to play cards with my son and he always got the best of her. The one and only time I ever heard her swear was when he went gin after drawing one card. I was watching tv and reading the paper and all of a sudden I hear, DAMN YOU! I looked at Mike and said What did you do? Then again DAMN YOU!!!!! Mike was laughing is butt off! Thanks for bringing that memory back. She's been gone 3 yrs and I miss her so much. She was my handwork buddie.
Aren't memories wonderful? My mom taught me how to play bridge too because it was the thing to do back then. And cannasta , mahjong, etc. GOtta love her. She was a stay at home mom so we had time to learn everything she knew.
I always thought it was strange how she had to go to college and get a degree but then stayed home. Of course my dad thought women should be home with the kids.
Sometimes, I let others win just to be fair. LOL. Mom is home now and already planning her next visit here. GOtta love her.

Glads are my second favorite, first are my Iris, 3rd is Roses & 4th are lilies.
I love my pumpkins tho, & I do pet & talk to them every day. I have 2 orange ones, will be able to pick soon. They are an early one, 85 day to harvest.

I love all flowers. Speaking of pumpkins....Each holiday starting in the fall, I buy a really nice big one and put it on my dining room table and glue little decorations to it like ribbon and flowers and there it sits thru october and thansksgiving. So sad when it it times to throw it away. But They are so awesome. And of course we love to decoreate them at Halloween. I love your gardens. So many members have absolutely breathetaking gardens of all kinds this year. So glad you share with us.

I agree on the blood pressure. Take it three times a day to check and yesterday was like 132/69, 133/75 etc. I am really thinking, like you, it is the pain and everything that has been going on in the last 4 months. Even the fun retreat. So I feel like after keeping a log, it will all work out. I'm not one to take pills. The girls are having fun. I am shocked how much girls eat and snack. Wow....And yer they love those kittens. Eyes are popping open now, will take a picture again soon.
So how was the visit with Burnsk? Did you take pictures of you two? I keep looking for them.

♦Ksea, hope that you had a fun trip and camping..........laundry piled up! Yes, we want to see more of the Butterfly Bloom (or is it Bloomin Butterfly?). What ever it is it is awesome so far!
♦Debbie is at the Java bar........that’s her new and shinning kitchen. You are having fun with the girls....................you never did tell us what you bought yesterday..............well?????????????
♦Hey BB sign is wonderful, although I was in shock with you painting it red.
♦Debbie are you retaining water with your heat there? I wonder if that could be part of your increase in B/P?
I am trying to get caught up on an applique piece that I’ve been working on since Hector was a pup! Feel like I need to do some of that before I start a new project. I will post a picture at some time of this tiny thing with so many stitches.
