Let Haley drive up to Bluff Dale and then on the way home let her turn into the new lake area and drive up and down the hills to learn how to brake etc. Whew. We are on ground now. LOL. She actually does very well. So we are all in the living room hand quilting so I am going to join them. I have a list I am determined to finish by sunday so I can start a new one. I love lists now, so easy to stay focused. That what friends are for... http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47906-585.htm#3704924 Doodles from Deb |

I am so happy that your grand daughters want to not only spend time with you, but they want to quilt and seem to really enjoy it. I can't wait to see what they're doing right now. I'm sure you will show us pictures later! And I'm really glad you went up and down those hills to give Haley more practice. That will be so helpful to her. My sister and her boyfriend didn't care if they got a girl or boy puppy, either way it was going to be named Frankie! I sent the link to this thread to my sister so she could see Franie's picture and she replied saying how much she loves the white heart on Frankie's forehead. So cute! Debbie you are having a good day with the girls. You made it home, no traffic tickets or dent............so all is well. I love that you have a list........I do also. Not always complete when planned but keeps me going in the right direction. Have to be careful not to list more than can reasonably be crossed off this century. Don’t know where today went. Have the girls put their name on any of the kitties? DH and YOU will be settled in for a long winters nap by tomorrow afternoon................. |

Have your granddaughters each claimed one for their very own? How lucky you are to have the girls close enough to enjoy them! Enjoy the weekend everyone. Sew Happy |

Joined: Jun 23, 10 Messages: 2341 Feedback: 5/100.0% Location: Michigan | Frankie is adorable, I'm not much of a dog person but she is a keeper. I love the big paws!!! Np3 I don't think I have said why we are looking for a house but here is a condensed version, we had a 102 year old huge farm house on 180 acres and we lost the house to a fire in 1996, in 1998 we replaced the house with a 2 story 4700 square ft home, (5 bedroom, 4 baths) remember I had 6 kids, well then all the kids left home and the house was too big, but the market had already started to decline, so we rented it out to a Doctor and her family because her hubby wanted to be a hobby farmer and I was working in the city and so was my hubby and spending a forturne on gas. So we rented an apartment in the city (the insurance money paid for most of the new house so we only had a small mortgage payment, the rent payment paid the mortgage and our rent) Fast forward to today and they have really made the farm their own and love it and have no desire to move so they have asked to purchase it. I can't see us ever moving back into a house that size and they are willing to give us what we know the house is worth, not what the market is right now. So now I don't work anymore and hubby is gone alot and I am tired of apartment living so I want a house. (I guess that wasn't really very condensed, sorry). Debbie it is so cool that you let Haley practice driving, I think it is very important that they drive with someone who will teach them and encourage them. Good grannie!!! |

I think a house would be nicer than an apt. at least more privacy. Glad they will give you what the house is worth and not the market value right now. Good people. I know your hubby wanted you to narrow it done to three and now he wants to see another area. Men....really? I hope you find one iwth a perfect sewing room. Haley is already a good driver and she actually just started driving. Wish I had longer to work with her but when she gets moved in with dd then I can help teach her. She's just so darn long legged. Seat all the way back and her knees are still right under the wheel. he'll need a truck. LOL. SIL has same problem with his 6'8" frame. NP3 may not respond as she and Gramma mo are on a two day road trip to the beach and visiting a friend. DOn't know if they decided to take the laptop or not. We'll see. Beenana - today went slow for me. Now it will go fast as the sun is going down. You must be busy, you aren't posting as much. What are you quilting? Dyer804 - Both the dgd's have dogs and cannot have a kttien although Katharine tried. No names....I won't let them as we don't know girl or boy so we wait. LOL. I think the difference is that they 'rounded' the corners with HST's. Otherwise I think this is it. http://www.quilterscache.com/I/InterlockingChainBlock_Page2.html Proud mother of a United States Air Force daughter. |
